Mount Roraima, South Africa

Mount Roraima is one of the oldest mountain on Earth, a natural border between Venezuela, Brazil and Guyana in South Africa.

It is also known as Roraima Tepui or Cerro Roraima. It is one of the highest peak in Tepui plateau in the South Africa.

Mount Roraima, part of Venezuela's 30000 square kilometers Canaima National Park, is the site of the highest peak of the country of Guyana's Highland Range.Daily rain  have also created a unique ecosystem which includes several endemic species, such as a unique carnivorous pitcher plant, and some of the highest waterfall in the world.

Mount Roraima was considered a symbol of these region, an "axis mundi", an enormous tree within which all the vegetable and fruits of the world grow.
It is surrounded by 400 meter(1,300ft) tall cliffs was a place of mystery, myths, and legends for the indigenous people that live here centuries ago.

The Tepui was the first major one in the world to be climbed when in 1884, Sir Evererd im Thum took a forested trail that took him to plateau. The same trail is the one used by other hikers today as they make their way through the caps and though terrain to get the top.

Never leave after 2 p.m. from the village as the trekkers  are no longer allowed after this hour. At the beginning of your climb, your baggages will be strictly checked and you cannot take more that  kilos with you. You are also not permitted to take rocks or plants along the way.

The top of the mountain measures  2,772 m, it offer amazing landscapes and establishing a tent around here is possible. However, you should know the whether changes suddenly in this area so be prepared.

Vadhoo Island, Maldives

Vadhoo Island, Maldives

The Vaadhoo Island is located on the equator to the SW(South West) of Sri Lanka, in the Indian Ocean of Maldives. Sea-loving couples will fall in love with this place just by looking at pictures. It is a mix of romance with marine life and activities that have never disappointed tourists so far.

But Vaadhoo is not only famous for the glow in the dark beaches. Due to this phenomenon, red algae bloom a lot faster and cause “the red tide”. The beach turns red as it acts like a defense mechanism to distract predators.

How to get there
Vaadhoo is actually a small island (not bigger than 250 x 100 m), making it the perfect honeymoon getaway, but also the ideal escapade for all those looking to spoil themselves and relax far away from the city rush. It is located 8 km away from the airport and you can get there by Motor Dhoni. To get to Vaadhoo, the cheapest and easiest way is to catch the Island Ferry. However, if you are in the capital, know that it takes 1 day to reach Vaadhoo Island.

This phenomena has been called the “Sea of Stars” due to its glowing blue waves. It’s definitely a fantasy-like experience but before you roll over in search for that specific beach in Vaadhoo to see the so-called Sea of Stars, better know more about the beautiful little creatures that cause this unbelievable glowing effect.

The Baatara Gorge Waterfall, Lebanon

Baatara Gorge Waterfall is located in the village of Balaa, between the cities of Laqlouq and Tannourine, Lebanon. The location is also known as the “Three Bridges Chasm”.

The waterfall, which is fed by meltwater from Mount Lebanon, falls 250 meters into the chasm’s depths past 160-million-year-old limestone from the Jurassic period. Experiments carried out with flourescent dye in 1988 indicated that the water from the chasm emerges from underground at a spring in the nearby town of Mgharet al-Ghaouaghir.

The area is very popular for sport activities and you can find lots of people with climbing gear on the surrounding hills.

Signs at the cave discourage visitors from standing on the bridges or coming to close to the edge – the edges are slippery, and the bridges may collapse under the weight of too many visitors.

Traveling from Laklouk to Tannourine one passes the village of Balaa, and the Three Bridges Chasm (in French Gouffre des Trois Ponts) is a five-minute journey into the valley below where one sees three natural bridges, rising one above the other and overhanging a chasm descending into Mount Lebanon. During the spring melt, a 90–100-metre (300–330 ft) cascade falls behind the three bridges and then down into the 240-metre (790 ft) chasm.

Naica Mine, Mexico

Naica Mine, Mexico

The Naica Mine of the Mexican state of Chihuahua, is a working mine that is best known for its extraordinary selenite crystals. Located in Naica in the municipality of Saucillo, the Naica Mine is a lead, zinc and silvermine operated by Industrias Peñoles, Mexico's largest lead producer. Caverns discovered during mining operations contain crystals of selenite (gypsum) as large as 1.2 m (4 ft) in diameter and 15 m (50 ft) long. Peñoles announced in October 2015 that it was indefinitely suspending operations at Naica Mine.

The Cave of Crystals is a cave approximately 300 m (1,000 ft) below the surface in the limestone host rock of the mine. The chamber contains giant selenite crystals, some of the largest natural crystals ever found. The selenite crystals were formed by hydrothermalfluids emanating from the magma chambers below. The cavern was discovered while the miners were drilling through the Naica fault, which they were worried would flood the mine.

The caves are closed to the public, and remain closed after a worker tried to enter the cave to steal some of the selenite, only to suffocate and die in the cave's humid and inhospitable atmosphere. After enough research on the crystals has been carried out, some of the chambers will be allowed to flood again and continue the process of crystal growth.

Fly Geyser in Nevada, USA

The Fly Geyser in Nevada, USA

Nestled on a patch of private land in Nevada’s Black Rock Desert, the Fly Geyser also known as Fly Ranch Geyser is one of the coolest attractions, though many residents still do not know it exists. Fly Geyser, which spews waters about five feet high, lies about a third of a mile from State Route 34, a road which functions as the only viewpoint since the geyser is not open to the public. The Fly Ranch property, on which Fly Geyser resides, has been purchased by Burning Man. DO NOT TRESPASS. Fly Geyser is on private property.

The History of Fly Geyser

The source of the Fly Geyser field's heat is attributed to a very deep pool of hot rock where tectonic rifting and faulting are common. Fly Geyser is not an entirely natural phenomenon; it was accidentally created by well drilling in 1964 exploring for sources of geothermal energy.  The well may not have been capped correctly, or left unplugged, but either way dissolved minerals started rising and accumulating, creating the travertine mound on which the geyser sits and continues growing. The geyser contains several terraces discharging water into 30 to 40 pools over an area of 74 acres. The geyser is made up of a series of different minerals, but its brilliant colors are due tothermophilic algae.

In 1964, Fly Geyser began erupting with scalding water in multiple places, after a second poorly-capped well was dug not far from the first. The repetitive eruptions dissolved minerals and over time, the mineral deposits developed the mount and various terraces that now surround the ever-growing geyser. And thanks to thermophilic algae that thrive in the wet, hot conditions created by the geyser, breathtaking reds and greens streak the mounds.

While the original Fly Geyser no longer hisses steaming water, another mount two additional geysers in the area have followed in its path. Though the attraction is located on private land and not open to tourists, visitors who make arrangements with the owners ahead of time are often able to get a closer look for a fee.
